Irish raiders added to Fighting Fifth Hurdle

 SATURDAY’S StanJames.com Fighting Fifth Hurdle at Newcastle received a boost on Monday when Irish raiders Wicklow Brave and Identity Thief were supplemented by their connections.

Champion Hurdle second Arctic Fire was confirmed by Willie Mullins, who added Wicklow Brave to the Grade 1 at a cost of £4,500.

That was the same amount Henry de Bromhead shelled out to supplement Identity Thief, who emerged as a potential dark horse for the Stan James Champion Hurdle when winning the WKD Hurdle at Down Royal last month.
