With a super congested fixture list looming on their head all does not seem good for United as they have suffered another crucial injury blow.

United’s
Barzilian midfielder, Anderson has suffered a ligament injury and is expected to be out of action for another two months.

The Midfield ace injured his knee during Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Crawley in the midweek, when he had to be withdrawn at half time.

The scans on the midfielder’s knee have revealed that the Brazilian has suffered medial ligament damage and is likely to be out of action until the end of April.

It is being reported in the media that the midfielder is set to miss the major part of the remaining season but so far there has
been no confirmation from United.

The
newspapers, today claimed that the midfielder had damaged medial ligaments in his left knee and will undergo further tests to determine the full extent of the injury but according to the initial prognosis two months
looks to be the bare minimum that the midfielder will be spending on the sidelines.

Exactly a year ago the Brazilian suffered a similar injury, cruciate ligament damage in a league game against West Ham and that time he spent seven months on the sidelines and
United will be lucky if the midfielder is able to play any part in the remainder of the season.

So far the injury is pending confirmation from the club and there also have been reports in the
midia that it is not his knee that is
knacked but it’s his hamstrings.
but the timeline on the sidelines is the same.

Anderson is sure as death and taxes to miss United’s Champions League game against Marseille while Rio Ferdinand is also a doubt for the game and
also likely to miss out, is right back Rafael Da Silva who also suffered a knock in United’s scrappy win over Crawley.

In some off the pitch and good news for United, Patrice Evra, United’s French left back has signed a contract extension with the club and is tied up with the red devils until 2014.

Evra signed a new three
nad half year deal yesterday putting an end to speculations linking him to Spanish Clubs, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

After his signature, Evra’s first assignment with his team will be a travel
to his homecountry, France where United are scheduled to play their Champions League clash with Marseille on Wednesday.

Marseille have just been crowned the
champiosn of France and United will have to be on their A game if they are to return from France with
a  lead to protect for their second leg.

The game will mean that Patrice Evra will be reunited with Gabriel Heinze, who he replaced when he signed for Sir Alex’s men five years ago.

Gabriel Heinze, despite being club’s number one left back for two years had a not-so-pleasnat exit from United when he fell out with
the manager and the manager blocking his sale to Liverpool a few years back.

But Patrice Evra has not indulged in dirty mind games ahead of the all important clash and has hailed the performance of the Argentinean for his club after his side secured the
French Ligue 1 title.

“Gaby has been playing well for Marseille, I am pleased for him because it wasn’t easy at first with him being a former Paris Saint-Germain player. There is a big rivalry with
Marseille. I am happy to see him doing well and he will get a big ovation when he comes back to Old Trafford because he played so well for United.  But I don’t want him to win against his old team.” Evra said ahead of the meeting today.
