Milwaukee Brewers amass fans support as Zack Greinke fits in
The Milwaukee Brewers are going to be one of the surprise package teams in the coming year. Their latest endeavour in the off-season period has put them in a contention spot for the post season. They face tough competition from the Cincinnati Reds and the
St. Louis Cardinals. However, many believe they have the right combination in the roster to tie the knot with their ascension to the play-off. The management in the club has struck a good deal for the coming campaign and fans will be enthusiastic to see the
club, go in for a major title clinch in 2011.
The Brewers were in need of depth when most of their pitching rotation fell out of terms, with the ball club. However, through two good trade deals, the side landed in two high rated pitchers. The chances of a qualification are now boasted by their arrivals
and the team is bent on making their chances count, this coming season. For Milwaukee the opportunity can be considered ripe, for nurturing. The club has Zack Greinke and Shaun Marcum in the rotation. The future looks good for the club but does it look good
The fans think so and that is what the management will need when they will show green light to the squad for the coming regular season, scheduled to begin in April. Shaun Marcum came in from the Toronto Blue Jays, recently and he is regarded as one of the
top premier players in Major League Baseball. Some people have called the player’s trading move as an under rated feature. Nevertheless, he is one consistent performer who can make a difference in the side.
Zack Greinke is another player who recently moved in and he comes with a star light highlight in his career. The top pitcher was the 2009 American League Cy Young Award winner and the fans are already parading on the streets. The player has however, reinforced
the idea that the post season is where he wants to lead this year. The impact of his addition to the pitching rotation has made a blistering difference in the National League Central power play.
Zack’s move from the Kansas City Royals has boasted seat sales as 1500 new seat account holders have been compared. Compared to 400 seat account holders, at the start of the off season, the change seems to be regarded as a positive one. The Executive vice
President of the club’s business operations was on the scene to comment on the successful change in Milwaukee’s roster. Rick Schlesinger was able to comment on the rising support for the team described the process. Rick Schlesinger said,
“The response from fans has surpassed even our most optimistic expectations. The excitement level has peaked in all areas of our business operations, from ticket sales to sponsors to retail sales.”
The team will be looking on benefiting from merchandise sales as well. Greinke items like jerseys and T- shirts are up for sale. Sales have peaked in the three days following Zack’s arrival and it seems the excitement level will rise on till the start of
the regular season. The Brewers look to be a formidable team for the coming season and their opponents will be well aware of that.
