Juventus do not want Carlos Tevez, claims director general Beppe Marotta – Serie A Update

Juventus director general, Beppe Marotta, has clarified that they are not tracking the Manchester City striker, Carlos Tevez. There have been numerous reports since the summer transfer window that Juve are keen on signing the former City captain.

The Argentine international has been keen on leaving the English Premier League outfit and has been linked to numerous clubs in Italy. It was reported that the current Italian Champions, AC Milan, the Treble winners, Inter Milan, and the Turin giants are
keen on luring the prolific hitman.

After months of speculations, Marotta while talking to La Repubblica mooted the transfer rumours and revealed that Juve have yet to decide what to do in the upcoming transfer window.

“Tevez is not a player who interests us, absolutely not. We will calmly ponder what to do in the January transfer window,” clarified the Juve director.

Moreover, the striker’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, recently announced that his client is close to sign a contract with AC Milan. The representative also claimed that the Diavolo officials have met with the City officials and held initial talks regarding the
possible transfer of Tevez.

Tevez has been bench held at City of Manchester Stadium after he had issues with the head coach, Roberto Mancini. The 27-year-old hitman misbehaved with the boss after he was asked to go on field as a substitute in a UEFA Champions League clash against Bayern
Munich, City lost 2-0. Tevez has not featured in any game since the incident.

On the other hand in Turin, Juve are already considering to part ways with a few strikers in order to create room for more options in the midfield region. The Bianconeri already have 7 strikers in their roster and there is much competition between the players
to be a part of Juve starting XI. Alessandro Del Piero, Mirko Vucinic, Fabio Quagliarella, Luca Toni, Amauri, Alessandro Matri and Vincenzo Iaquinta are the players Juve currently have in their forward block.

It is expected that the Lady Killers would sell out Fabio Quagliarella, Luca Toni and Amauri in the upcoming winter transfer window. Moreover, Juve boss, Antonio Conte, is looking for playmakers and central midfielders.
