The New Gym at Yemmekere Swimming Pool Complex

The Yemmekere swimming pool complex is set to welcome a new addition – a state-of-the-art gym. The gym, which is expected to be opened within the next 10 days, will cater to the needs of competitive batch swimmers.

The pool was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddhartha Bettaiah, in 2017.

The Birth of a State-of-the-Art Facility

The international-standard swimming pool was a long-awaited dream for the people of Mangalore. The city had been without a modern swimming pool for over two decades, and the lack of such a facility had hindered the development of swimming as a sport in the region. The pool was built to cater to the needs of the local swimmers, as well as to host national-level swimming competitions.

Key Features of the Pool

State-of-the-art infrastructure: The pool features a 50-meter long, 25-meter wide, and 2-meter deep swimming pool with a depth of 2 meters at the deep end. Advanced filtration system: The pool has a sophisticated filtration system that ensures the water quality is maintained at the highest standards.

The pool is open to the public and is free to use. The pool is open year-round, but the hours of operation may vary depending on the day of the week and the season.
