Tottenham eye Genoa’s Rafinha, Chelsea and Manchester City to battle for Milan striker Ibrahimovic

Tottenham to bring in Genoa’s Rafinha

Rafinha, the Genoa defender, admitted his desire to play in the English Premier League after rumors linking him to Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs boss Harry Redknapp is looking to bring in a right-back during the summer transfer window to strengthen his faltering
squad. There have also been reports that Redknapp has had a row with defender Allan Hutton, who is now looking for a White Hart Lane exit at the end of the season.

The 25-year-old is worth an estimated £8 million and commented on rumors linking him to the London club. Rafinha said while speaking to reporters, “Of course I’d love to play in England so I’m glad to hear about Tottenham showing an interest in me. I watch
Tottenham’s games and they look like a great team, they also have two Brazilian players there already. It would be a pleasure for me to play there. However, I’m also happy here in Genoa.”

Chelsea and Manchester City eye Ibrahimovic

English Premier League big spenders Chelsea and Manchester City are keeping their eyes and check books open for the possibility of signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic during the summer. There have been rumors the Milan star is nearing his exit at the Serie A giants.

Even though the 29-year-old had previously stated he wanted to finish his career at AC Milan, his agent Mino Raiola recently spoke to reports suggesting that might no longer be the case. According to the recent revelations, the Swedish striker may be on
his way to a different league to tackle a different challenge.

Raiola said while speaking to reporters, “Zlatan may not end his career at Milan; we will make a decision in 2012 depending on the results achieved here. He could just as likely to return to Barcelona and see out the rest of his five-year deal there too.”

Ibrahimovic is on loan at AC Milan from La Liga giants Barcelona and for him to make his move permanent, Milan would have to pay £24 million for the striker. The Italian outfit has so far made no attempts of making the move permanent, because of which Ibrahimovic
is considering other options.

Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli recently admitted to wanting to play alongside and with City willing to pay whatever price required, there is a possibility Ibrahimovic could end up at the Eastlands at the end of the summer. However, the Blues are
also keeping a close watch on the Swede.

Chelsea’s hit man Didier Drogba is expected to make an exit soon, especially with the arrival of Fernando Torres during the January transfer window. The Blues will be looking to add an experienced striker to their squad during the summer and Ibrahimovic
seems to be a perfect option.
