Suresh Raina punished for 25% due to showing annoyance on umpire’s decision

The middle-order Indian batsman, Suresh Raina has punished 25% of the match fee due to showing aggression against umpire’s decision.  The Indians have many issues regarding umpires decisions now days.

In the first Test, the 28-years old Indian leggy bowler, Amit Mishra was punished to pay the 10% of the match fee for “showing dissent at an umpire’s decision by action or verbal abuse” on the day one of the inaugural Test match against West Indies, played
at Kingston.

Mishra is to face this penalty after he was found that he was involve in violation of the International Cricket Council’s terms and conditions of level 1.

The match referee, Jeff Crowe, has told to media that the player has breached 2.1.3 article of the code of conduct and the right-arm bowler has acknowledged the price enforced on him.

While talking to media Crown stated, “On being given out caught behind the wicket, Amit stood his ground for a lengthy period of time and while doing so gestured to his arm guard until finally he left the crease.”

Now Suresh Raina has fined to pay 25% penalty of the match fee. According to the ICC, Raina has made the breach of the article 2.1.3 of the code of conducts. According to the ICC “showing dissent at an umpire”s decision by action or verbal abuse” is the
breach of the article.

Raina was charged by the on-field umpire, Asad Rauf and Billy Bowden, also by the third umpire Gregory Brathwaite and the fourth official umpire Norman Malcolm.

The 2nd Test of the three match series between India and West Indies is being played at Bridgetown. The tourist team has won the first Test played at Kingston by 63. The 2nd Test is almost related with bowling as the 13 dismissals on
the day-1.

In the 2nd Test, West Indies won the toss put the opposition on batting first.

This decision was right in favour of the Caribbean side as the bowlers put down the tourist batsmen on 201 runs in 68 overs.

Suresh Raina scored 53 runs from 105 balls in the first innings.
