Dwayne Bravo set to play big bash – Cricket News Update

West Indies’ all-rounder, Dwayne Bravo, who got injured during Caribbean A side’s practice session earlier, has revealed that he is all set to participate in the Australian domestic Twenty20 League, Big Bash, which is scheduled
to start from next month.

After recovering from the ankle injury, the 28-year-old batsman has confirmed his availability ahead of Big Bash.

Meanwhile, the Trinidad-born medium pacer, who also missed the country’s domestic Twenty20 championship, CaribbeanT20 following the knee injury earlier this year, asserted that he is looking forward to represent Trinidad & Tobago
in the upcoming event.

“I will be flying out to Australia for the Big Bash but this time around I will also be available for Trinidad & Tobago in the regional series, as we look to defend our title,” Bravo said while speaking to the media.

Furthermore, the star all-rounder showed satisfaction over his rehabilitation from the recent injury, and said that he has started practice to regain his form prior to Australia’s T20 tournament.

“My ankle injury has healed and it stood up well during training. Last week it felt very sore but it is now fine and the stiffness is gone. I am now focussing on strengthening exercises and trying to get in as much practice before
I leave for Australia,” he continued in same interview.

Moreover, Bravo, who represented his national side last time in June this year, displayed immense desire to serve West Indies once again.

The right-arm medium-fast bowler added that he has been working hard to pave his way into the Caribbean cricket team.

According to him he is getting back to his form and fitness progressively, which will help to earn a national call.

The utility player, who has always been right on the button with his performance, clarified that he does not want to keep himself under pressure while eyeing to play for the national side, as he knows he needs time to make it possible.

Bravo has served West Indies in 40 Test matches, 117 One Day Internationals, and 22 Twenty2o fixtures so far, scoring 2200, 1910, and 344 runs, and picking 86, 136, and 19 wickets respectively.
