Club captain Tevez has led City from the front, having netted nine goals and set up a further four for his team-mates in the EPL this season. His efforts have helped City rise to fourth place in the league, five points behind leaders Manchester United.

The Argentine international has scored more goals in in the league that fellow strikers Emmanuel Adebayor, Mario Balotelli and Joao Alves de Assis Silva (‘Jo’) put together, but Hart revealed that the rest of the side are working hard to try and reduce the
burden shouldered by Tevez.

According to The Mirror, the England international said: “We’ve been called a one-man show and it’s hard not to be when that one man is absolutely brilliant and stands head and shoulders above most players on the planet.

“We’re trying to help Carlos. He realises it’s not all on his shoulders. We have to create passes for him to score, and he creates passes for the other boys. It’s starting to come together.”

Tevez’ most significant contributions this season have come in games against Blackpool, where he scored two goals in a 3-2 win on 17 October, Newcastle United, where he netted in a 2-1 win on  3 October, and in games against defending champions Chelsea (on
25 September) and Sunderland (on 29 August) in which he scored the only goal of each game.

The next opportunity for City’s attackers to help Tevez share the goalscoring responsibilities will come when they face sixth-placed Bolton Wanderers at home on Saturday 4 December.
