Beach News: Brazilian Banco do Brasil will hit the town next week
Brazil’s national beach volleyball tour is about to start next week. The Brazilian Banco do Brasil will the first event to be featured on the 2011 beach volleyball tour. The tournament will be officially kicked off on Thursday, 13th January, 2011
at Camburi Beach, in Vitoria, Espirito Santo, Brazil. The national beach volleyball duos will make their way to beach after a fair break and will demonstrate their skills on sand. Since this is the first event of 2011 in Brazil, it is likely to attract scores
of beach volleyball fans.
The thrilling competition of Brazilian Banco do Brasil has a great history. It was first played in 1991 and has successfully entered the 20th episode. The arrangements have been set up to celebrate wonderful event. The event will feature both
gender matches. The home duos are fully prepared for the challenging competitions. The top-seeded pairing of Juliana Felis Berta and Larissa Franca will be returning to game and they will surely display an incredible show. The fans are desperately waiting
for the action to start.
Likewise, the other players are also sharpening their skills and getting ready for the Brazilian Banco do Brasil. The dynamic duo of second-seeded Maria Talita Antunes and Maria Antonelli will be another team to especially watch in the tournament. The duo
of Maria Clara Salgado and Carolina Salgado will also participate in the activity. Renata Trevisan and Ana Paula will play as a team for the first time. It will be interesting to watch them complimenting each other.
Another pair of Vivian Cunha and Taiana Lima is on the board to contest their abilities with other female duos of Brazil. Vivian/Lima finished second at the 2010 Austrian Grand Slam and currently enjoy a great form. Brazilian Viera has formed new partnership
with Rquel Pelucci, while her former teammate Leao will be paired with shaylyn.
In the men’s section, last year’s national champions Thiago and Cunha have split their ways and have joined different partners. Thiago has decided to go with 2008 and 2009 MVP of FIVB Beach Volleyball Swatch World Tour, Harley in 2011. On the other hand, Cunha
has opted for Pedro, who played with Cunha at the FIVB Junior World Championship. Beijing silver medallist Fabio Luiz will also show up with a new partner.
On the whole, the Brazilian Banco do Brasil is going to be a ‘must watch’ competition, which will put the players’ abilities to a real test.
