Liverpool looking to land Nicolas Gaitan from Benfica
It appears as though Liverpool’s pursuit to land a wide player is taking them places. This is because the team is now being linked with a move for Benfica’s Argentine midfielder, Nicolas Gaitan.
The twenty three year old player is currently being monitored by Liverpool scouts, who hope to make a move for the player in the near future.
Gaitan despite only being twenty three is said to be something of a cult hero at the Portuguese club. This is because the player managed to score a very dramatic goal against PSG, which helped Benfica qualify for the quarter-finals in the Europa League.
Neymar now wants to join Barcelona
There are a number of people out there who happen to think Neymar is one of the best things to happen to Brazilian football in a long while, while there are others who seem to think is nothing more than a flashy kid, who is enjoying his fifteen minutes of fame.
However whatever way you look at it, the player is being linked with a number of big teams and it seems like it won’t be long before he actually makes his move from Santos to one of the elite teams in Europe.
Nonetheless if the player could have a say in where he is to eventually end up, then he would probably like to be playing at Barcelona. This is because the player made some more than apparent comments recently, which state: “I’d like to play alongside Messi.
I think together we could form an excellent partnership.
“To be known as the Brazilian Messi would be terrific. I watch Barca whenever I can – they can win everything. But will I be joining Barcelona? The future belongs to God. I’m going to keep working and training hard.”
If the player is to get this wish, then it means that there is no chance in hell that he would be joining Chelsea, which is a team that he not so long ago stated he would also love to play for.
However just going on a hunch, it seems like there would be a whole lot more teams that Neymar is going to admit that he would love to play for, before he actually does end up somewhere.
Newcastle looking to cash in on Adebayor’s comments
It seems like Newcastle United’s pursuit to land an Andy Carroll replacement has taken them all the way to Emmanuel Adebayor. This is because the striker made some controversial comments, after it was previously assumed that he would be staying at Real Madrid
following the conclusion of his loan-spell there.
The player is reported to have said: “I have been playing in England for five years, I had the chance to play in France for a couple of years, so it is a good time for me to play in Spain.
“If I have the chance to go back to England one day, why not? I will never throw England away. I love the football, I love the atmosphere.”
This rumour is mostly based on assumptions and currently has no real weight to it. However it is more than likely that something might shape up regarding Newcastle and Adebayor in the near future.
