Official works were completed for the Gran Premio bwin de Espana, where the 2010 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo was joined by the season opener round-winner Casey Stoner, Repsol teammate Dani Pedrosa, Marco Simoncelli of San Carlo Honda Gresini and Ducati’s
ace Valentino Rossi at the race’s press release in Spain.

Casey Stoner has just got a single podium finish here since the race of 2009 in the MotoGP premier class. After winning the first Qatar round, Stoner is confident in his bike and is looking forward to the race.

The Australian rider added that the Jerez track would give a clear view for the rest of the season, as other riders will get a view on their performance and physical fitness conditions. Repsol Honda Team is possibly having the best start that any team could
imagine and the team would surely want to capitalise on it.

Jorge Lorenzo had won the last race at the Jerez circuit, but the Spaniard was cautious going into the free practice session starts for Sunday’s race. Lorenzo added, “I do have lots of experience at this track, but this is another Championship with different
circumstances. I come here happy after Qatar but we’ll see tomorrow how the bike is really working.”

After Honda’s staggering improvements during the winter test sessions, the team thinks further work can be done around the Estoril GP, where Lorenzo expects to have some changes in the bike.

Repsol team rider Pedrosa was clear about his arm problem and confident to have a good race at the Jerez circuit. Valentino Rossi is also facing fitness problems, and is in a different situation this season, needing time to improve his health and also the
GP11 factor.

With the first European MotoGP round to begin in a couple of days, the best in the sport are excited for the race and are hoping for a good start. With a number of riders eying a podium finish, the GP would surely be an intense battle.
