La Masia academy graduate Bojan will not return to Barcelona at the end of the season

A return to Catalonia is out of the cards for beleaguered La Masia youth academy graduate Bojan Krkic. The twenty-one-year-old does not wish to come back to Camp Nou and was critical of the manager Pep Guardiola.

In an interview with TV3, the former Barcelona academy graduate did not mince his words and talked about his departure from La Liga winners. During the questioning he discussed his ousting from the club and his new life in the Italian capital.

The Linyola born player has been critical of his former manager and did not hide his feelings towards him in the interview.

“I said goodbye to the people who were good to me. I said goodbye to Pep but did not call him all summer,” Bojan said. “From what I’ve been through with him, I do not think it was the best option”.

The pint sized attack does not wish to return to his old hunting ground and made it clear in the interview.

“I suppose if I get a call at the end of this season, I would say no.” The Roma ace commented.

Shedding more light on his last days in Camp Nou, Bojan revealed a dim perspective of his former manager. He said that he was not aware of his situation within the club’s ranks and was kept in the dark.

There was a communication barrier between Pep Guardiola and him, and it has not changed since his transfer. Bojan claimed that he tried to talk to the manager but did not get “words out” of him.

Playing or not playing is just part of the job, but making someone feel alien to the group is wrong and he asserted this is what happened to him.

About his last season with the club, the former teenage prodigy stated he was not happy with his role. He did not have continuous run with the first team and this was frustrating.

Bojan moved to AS Roma in a complicated deal worth 12 million Euros. However, Barcelona have an option to buy him back after two seasons for 13 million Euros. The Romans have the option of stopping the buy-back if they are willing to pay an additional 28
million Euros.
