Premier League Predictions: Match Week 25 – Part 3

We are into the final part of our predictions for Match Week 25. It is exciting times for most teams who have regrouped and added further ammunition to bolster their squads for a final push before they can reassess in the summer.

We continue with our predictions and will see how Liverpool prepares for life without Fernando Torres. However, we are Ewood Park to start things of.

Blackburn v Tottenham

Blackburn have played some good football recently and have started to climb up the table. The signing of Roque Santa Cruz can prove to be a huge success. Blackburn also completed the signing of Barcelona youngster, Rubin Rochina on the deadline day. How
the new man fares? Only time will tell.

Tottenham have been poor of late. They were torn apart by Fulham at the weekend and with just one win in the last five – that too came against league one side Charlton – Spurs look the shadow of the team that went 11 games unbeaten in the league, between
November and December.

However, there is no need to panic as Spurs still have the quality to win any game on their day. The confidence is low at the moment and the injury to Bale has come at the wrong time. It was a surprise that Harry Redknapp didn’t pull off another van der
Vaart kind of singing last night.

Blackburn are the form team at the moment and Tottenham who have failed to win in their last three league games might just have to wait till the weekend to get back to winning ways.

Prediction: 1-1

Fulham v Newcastle United

Fulham have turned a corner and the performance they put on against Liverpool at Anfield would have given them loads of confidence. The return of Andy Johnson and Dembele looks to have rejuvenated the side and it won’t be long before Bobby Zamora is back
for selection.

Mark Hughes was one of the many managers under pressure but he has responded really well. 10 points from their last 6 games is the best run of games they have had all season.

Newcastle will look to get over the disappointment of Andy Carroll, but they got serious money for their man. Although he has not played for them recently, due to an injury, but the fact that he won’t be playing for them ever again is what all the disappointment
is about.

Newcastle’s away form has not been great and with Fulham in top form, Newcastle fans could be in for more misery following the misery of transfer deadline day.

Prediction: 2-1

Liverpool v Stoke City

Well what can be said about Liverpool they certainly don’t know how to react, whether to rejoice at the arrival of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll or mourn at the way Fernando Torres has betrayed them?

The down side is that Andy Carroll isn’t fit to play this game and is a doubt for the massive clash against Chelsea at the weekend. However, Luis Suarez is expected to start for Liverpool and will slot straight into the team in place of Fernando Torres.

Liverpool have actually started to play some really nice, pass and move football under Kenny Dalglish and now that they have Steven Gerrard back in the team, they will look to take all three points against Tony Pulis’s men at Anfield. The big news and the
good news for Liverpool is that Jamie Carragher is also back in contention. This means that Kenny Dalglish will have a near full squad to pick from; apart from their record signing Andy Carroll.

Liverpool would know what to expect from Stoke City and if they are able to handle the long throws and the similar stuff from Stoke, it should be three easy points for the Merseyside club.

Prediction: 2-0
