Premier League Gossip: Arsenal want Benzema, Drogba to stay at Chelsea, Tottenham to have major clearance

Arsenal looking to make move for Karim Benzema
It seems like Arsene Wenger has finally started to line-up potential targets for the summer transfer window. The manager recently went on to admit his admiration for Real Madrid forward, Karim Benzema and from the way things are shaping up, the manager might
actually do the unthinkable and make a move for the forward.

Benzema has often appeared to be surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu and hence a move to the Emirates, despite sounding rather ridiculous, is still in the cards.

Didier Drogba to be handed contract extension at Stamford Bridge

Despite it previously being believed that Didier Drogba was to be on his way out of Chelsea, it now seems like the team are looking to offer the layer a contract extension, rather than offloading him in the summers.

Drogba was being liked with moves to Marseille and Real Madrid for most parts of the season, however, it now seems like he is more than likely to end up retiring as a Blue.

On the other hand, the fact that Drogba is going to be sticking around for means that either Nickolas Anelka or Salomon Kalou are going to be asked to walk away from the club in the summers.

At the same time, Daniel Sturridge might also be asked to leave the team on a permanent basis, considering the fact that there is going to be very little to no space for him in the team’s starting line-up as well.

Tottenham Hotspur set to undergo massive overhaul

It seems like Harry Redknapp is rather frustrated with the way things are shaping up around the White Hart Lane, as a result, the manager is reported to be set to have a massive overhaul at the club.

Reportedly, the manager is willing to listen to offers for as many as fourteen players and, those names include the likes of Ben Alnwick, Alan Hutton, Kyle Naughton, Sébastien Bassong, David Bentley, Jermaine Jenas, Wilson Palacios, Niko Kranjcar, Jamie
O’Hara, Giovani dos Santos and Robbie Keane.

At the same time, the fact that Redknapp is willing to have such a massive offloading at the club, can only mean that he has already found, or is on the brink of finding competent replacements for the players in question.

Nonetheless, what can be said assuredly, is that there is going to be a major change in proceedings at the clu in the summers.
