have left Dutch top flight for pastures new.

Dutch top flight have known for producing great players in the history and the recently concluded season was no exception once again. Luis Suarez was the hottest name who shined in Liverpool FC after his transfer in the winter transfer market from AFC Ajax
Amsterdam while Ibrahim Afellay proved his skills in UEFA Champions League winners Barcelona FC in the recently concluded 2010/11 campaign.

The transfer of these two players proves that top European clubs keenly observe the Dutch top tier players. With elite European clubs always interested in the Dutch young guns, it is always hard for the Eredivisie outfits to hold on to their prized assets.

Bettor.com looks on the hottest expected transfers to take place in the ongoing summer transfer market.

Tim Matavz – FC Groningen

The Slovenian International struggled to make an impression in his debut season at Euroborg Stadion in 2007/08 season. The 22-year-old striker, however, found his perfect form in front of the goal. He scored 16 goals in 29 appearances.

The promising youngster was earlier expected to join SSC Napoli, but the move went down the drain as the Serie A outfit failed to agree personal terms with the striker. However, the Slovenian International is heavily linked with Ajax Amsterdam, Palermo FC
and SS Lazio, and one of the aforementioned clubs are expected to acquire his services for the upcoming season.

Balazs Dzsudzsak – PSV Eindhoven

When the Hungarian International joined the Boeren in January 2008, the 24-year-old was relatively unknown player in Europe. However, since then, the winger has developed into one of the most promising stars in Dutch top tier. The 24-year-old winger scored
an impressive 16 goals and plethora of assists as well in 33 appearances this season.

The left-winger’s good performances have not gone unnoticed outside of Netherlands, as Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, Fulham FC, FC Anzhi Makhachkala and Lille OSC all are eager to take his signature in the ongoing summer transfer market. However, the Russian
Premier League outfit are the favourites to acquire his services.

Kevin Strootman – FC Utrecht

The defensive midfielder arrived at Stadion Galgenwaard in January 2011 and only played 14 matches in Eredivisie, but his performances were enough to attract interests from top European clubs.

The 21-year-old scored two goals and managed to put his name on the assists thrice. Fulham FC Liverpool FC, Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal FC all are interested in taking his signature, but the Cottagers seems the favourites to add the 21-year-old to their
ranks before the start of 2011/12 season.

Dries Mertens – FC Utrecht

The 24-year-old is regarded as one of the most technically gifted players playing in the Dutch top flight. The attacking midfielder, who can also play as a winger, has played two brilliant seasons at Stadion Galgenwaard and seems confident to take the next
step in his career.

RSC Anderlecht, Lokomotiv Moscow and Ajax are heavily linked with the 24-year-old, but the Belgian International seems to be moving to play in cold of Russia.
