Manchester United likely to make move for Jose Enrique

Manchester United is looking to make a move for Newcastle United full-back Jose Enrique as manager Alex Ferguson feels the player has all the credentials required to play at Old Trafford, says a report.

After watching him perform in the Premier League, the Manchester United manager has apparently been a fan of the Spaniard for quite some time now. The 25-year-old has been under Ferguson’s radar for a couple of seasons, even before he made his move to Newcastle
United in 2007. It seems like the manager is finally looking to cash in on his interest for the player.

At the moment, there are a number of rumours, claiming that Patrice Evra, the Red Devils left-back, is going to call it quits on his career in England. The player is being linked to a move to Real Madrid. It seems like Ferguson does not want to waste any
time while finding a replacement for the player.

The Spaniard has not really been a part of the Spanish senior team and he himself would be looking to push for the move. The opportunity could potentially pave the way for his international career, while helping him grow tremendously as a player.

Enrique joined Newcastle four seasons ago and was a part of the side, which went on to destroy the Championship and gain promotion to the top flight of English football. Enrique strikes well as a defender and as an attacker, and is almost always a threat
to his opponents.

The Spaniard possesses the brilliant ability to time his quick runs forward. Moreover, when he gets well ahead of his starting position, he puts in a cross that is almost always lethal for the opponents.

This ability of the player seems to already be on par with United’s crossing game, making his switch all the more likely in the near future.

According to the most of experts, if United are to make a move for the player, they have to fork out around fourteen million pounds for him. Nonetheless, if United are to make a move for the player it is more than likely that Enrique himself would push through
for the move.

This is because the opportunity of potentially being a part of the Spanish international side and playing in the Champions League, will be a little too much for the player to turn down.
