Hot and Happenings at the BNP Paribas tennis event: The sport of tennis is in full swing, these days in California as some of the top names of the tennis world are showing their best at the Indian Wells to snatch another tennis title for
them. In a very recent match the Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal brushed aside his Croatian tennis rival Ivo Karlovic to book a place in the semi finals of the ongoing BNP Paribas tennis event.
In the match the current world number one Nadal recovered from a set down to beat the thirty two years old Ivo. The match was equally wonderful for the Croatian star as he showed his improved form by winning the first set of the match. It was test for the
current world number two hundred and thirty nine because he had missed most of the previous season because of the injury. His relentless performance in the match has given him a strong confidence boost.
On the other hand the Spanish veteran gave an equally fantastic challenge and showed the Croatian star his brilliance with class. In the second set Nadal seemed in control and Ivo was hardly able to create troubles for the world champ. The twenty four years
old Nadal clinched the victory of the set by 6 points to 1.
The match started to get more exciting in the decider set as Karlovic started to bounce back. But the day belonged to Nadal as he won the tie break and sealed the victory of the match. Rafa won the exciting and tensed battle by 5-7, 6-1 and 7-6 (9/7).
It was a good test for Nadal as well because he has just came out of his hamstring injury and his current fitness is a solid proof of his perfect recovery from the injury. After the match the nine times Grand Slam winner Nadal expressed his thoughts about
the match and paid tribute to Ivo Karlovic.
He said that it is good to see Ivo back in the tennis court and it was not less than a test for him to win a match against the former world number fourteen. He said that it was very hard for him to recover in the match from one set down because players like
Karlovic give fewer chances to score. He continued that he kept his head low and kept on working hard to claim the victory.
Nadal added that he believes that he played extraordinarily well in the second set because in that set he gave no chance to the opponent to score and made the match pretty difficult for Ivo. While talking about the decider set, Nadal told that the serve
of Karlovic in the final set was truly amazing. He added that in the tie break he started to get nervous because Karlovic was playing relentlessly well. But he is happy to finish the match in a victorious manner.
Nadal also told that it was a fantastic match for him as he has not been able to play for a month because of his injury and now his performance at the Indian Wells is a clear proof that he has recovered well.
On the other hand the Argentinean tennis ace Juan Del Potro also booked his place in the final four of the tournament as opponent Tommy Robredo withdrew from the match due to a muscle injury. Robredo after winning the match against Sam Querrey told the media
that he is very concerned with his fitness at the moment in he believes that he might not been able to play in the next match because currently he is not feeling 100 percent to give his best.
He further told that his medical test’s reports are not encouraging for him and his doctor has suggested him to not to play in the tournament.
