Matt Le Tissier
Matthew Le Tissier is a former English professional football player, who was mainly positioned as an attacking midfielder. He played for Southampton and the England National team throughout his professional career as a footballer. Indeed, Le Tissier was
blessed with extraordinary technical skills and game-playing tactics.
He was the first ever midfielder to net a hundred goals in the Premiership history and the second-highest goal scorer for Southampton side, only second to Mick Channon. In 1990, the Englishman was selected as the PFA Young Player of the Year. Not only that,
Le Tissier made 270 Premier League appearances with 102 goals at his part.
The English legend’s mesmerizing performances attracted bigger clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea towards him. However, he remained at Southampton club for his entire career – a loyal decision that earned him the title of “Le God.”
About Le Tissier, Xavi Hernandez stated: “His talent was simply out of the norm. He could simply dribble past seven or eight players but without speed—he just walked past them. For me he was sensational.”
Cristiano Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, or simply Cristiano Ronaldo is a professional football player from Portugal, who is deployed as a winger or a forward on the pitch. The epitome of brilliance currently plays for the Spanish La Liga’s club, el Madrid.
He also happens to be the captain of the Portuguese national team.
