Beware of Chelsea says Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney believes that the Premier League title race is not yet over and the defending Champions of English Premier League ‘Chelsea’ is still in the race. He believes that Chelsea appears to be the biggest threat for the Men
in Red way of winning the 2010-11 Barclays Premier League title. At last, the misfiring Wayne Rooney has regained his lost form and fired big time for Manchester United by scoring two goals in the last match against Aston Villa.

Wayne Rooney has insisted that Chelsea is the one team who can still amaze us and win this season’s title race.  According to Rooney, the impressive lead of 10 points over the defending champions is not enough and it could be minimized
any time. Currently Manchester United are leading the league table with 54 points where as Chelsea are sitting on the 4th spot with 44 points.

Wayne Rooney knows that Manchester United have yet to face Chelsea in this season. Chelsea will play two very important matches against the mighty Manchester United in the coming months. These matches will going to decide the fate
of Chelsea and Manchester United and ultimately decide who will going to lift this season English Premier League title. Chelsea’s captain, John Terry is also hopeful that they can still defend their Premier League title. In the last month’s statement, Terry
insisted that if they can win their forthcoming matches against United they will come right back in to the race of reclaiming the Barclays Premier League title.

Speaking to a private TV channel Rooney said “We certainly haven’t written Chelsea off. “They are a big, strong side and we know if anyone is capable of going on a run it is them. But we know it’s up to us where the title goes.”

The England striker hasn’t had the best of the time in this Premier League season. He never looked a player who can score goals and the statistics does prove that as well. He has only scored a mere of two goals in this season which
is not enough for the player of his caliber. But the game against Aston Villa might prove to be the turning point for the star in this season. The match against Villa, he has been able to shut the mouths of critics by scoring two impressive goals and has played
a decisive role in the Manchester United’ s victory.

He was under pressure and was needed to perform well for the Reds. He has been facing a heavy criticism for not performing in recent times. Even the Manchester United boss, Sir Alex Ferguson has given the hint that in case Rooney
doesn’t perform he has to sit on the sidelines then. Some days ago Ferguson hinted that Rooney needs to perform well in order to keep his position alive in the starting eleven, as Javier Hernandez who is waiting in the sidelines could replace him in near future.
Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that Javier was impressive in the game against Blackpool played at the Bloomfield Road and now he is outperforming Rooney.  The Mexican, Javier Hernandez has already made a huge impact on the minds of Manchester United fans and
especially on the mind of Ferguson when his goal helped United to a dramatic and thrilling 3-2 victory over Bolton. He was replaced with Rooney in that match.

Rooney expects him to continue with the good form he had displayed in the recent match against Villa. He said he is happy with his recent performance and really want to play his hand by winning more matches for Manchester United.
Rooney has been playing for Manchester United since 2004 and since then he appeared to be one of the most important player for the Reds.

Rooney’s form will be the deciding factor if Manchester United wants to win their matches against the Blues (Chelsea) and especially the Premier League title.
