Porto’s Star Man, who has been the main catalyst behind the trophy haul of this season, has announced that he has no intention of leaving Porto just now.

The Columbian international bagged an impressive 38 goals in 42 appearances this season, 17 of those in Europe’s second tier competition.

In the previous season, Falcao was even more prolific in the league, and scored 25 goals in 28 appearances beating this year’s tally by a good margin. With those statistics it no wonder that even Arsene Wenger is ready to spill the cash, but the former River
Plate man has given the Portuguese Champions hope that he will be staying in Estadio de Dragao.

Speaking to reporters, Falcao said: “I have two more years left on my contract, but we are speaking about a renewal.

“At Porto, many players, and even the manager, Andre Villas Boas, have clubs interested in them. Porto is the most selling club in the world.

“I am calm because I know that I can play in another championship, but I still do not know if this moment has come.”

It is understood that Porto value their prized asset in the region of €30 million, and a number of European clubs would like to have his services. But Tottenham Manager Harry Redknapp is one of the few who are seriously looking to match the transfer fees.
With Jermaine Defoe having a below average season, Redknapp needs to have quality in the attacking third, a commodity which Falcao has in abundance.

With Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner set to exit Arsenal, and Robin Van Persie suffering lengthy injuries on the sidelines, coupled with the average season of former Bordeaux star Maroune Chamakh; Arsene Wenger will finally be looking to add a Out and out
goal scorer, who can finally bring the some much needed silverware to the Arsenal trophy cabinet.

In Arsene Wenger’s books, Radamel Falcao ticks all the boxes, he is only 25 and has prime to come, and he is top class finisher who can be relied upon in crucial matches. He drifts into the Midfield assist his colleagues although he may not be the tallest
acquisition at 5’10, but what he lacks in height; he fills in speed and intelligence.

“Falcao is not just the type of player who puts the ball in the net, he knows how to play with his team-mates,”

“He knows how to give the ball back [to his team-mates], and he is a clever and tactical player. He is not extraordinarily fast but is in the same vein as [Lyon forward] Lisandro Lopez,” Wenger Said.

Although multiple factors will be put in when signing a high profile player, there is no doubting the talents of Radamel Falcao and his ability to perform on the highest level, something which both clubs urgently require.
