Agent Franco Zavaglia: Alberto Aquilani to make his Juventus FC move permanent

Juventus are looking forward to sign a permanent contract with the loaned Liverpool FC midfielder, Alberto Aquilani at the end of the season. The deal was formulated between Liverpool and Juve in August 2010, the clubs had agreed on a single season loan
deal, with the option to offer a contract at the end of the 2010/11 season.

The Old Lady Manager, Luigi Del Neri, is highly impressed by the midfielder’s performances for the Italian side and has shown his will to retain the playmaker for the next season. Reports indicate that the Bianconeri have offered Liverpool FC 10 million
Euros, but the Reds have made it clear that they will not sell Aquilani for anything less than 15 million Euros.

Aquilani joined Liverpool in the summer transfer window of 2009, but failed to impress the team officials in his debut season with the Premier League outfit. The midfielder was acquired on a huge transfer fee which was initially untold, but later on Liverpool
revealed the tag to be at 20 million Euros plus sporting bonus and other incentives. There were great expectations attached with the player but he couldn’t make an impact with the team; this eventually led to the loan decision.

Franco Zavaglia, the agent of Aquilani, is confident that Juve will use their option of buying the player at the end of the season. Despite the earlier news about the deal being turned down by the Reds, it is now confirmed that both clubs are willing to
come to a finalized decision. Zavaglia commenting on the transfer said:

“Juventus and Liverpool have established an agreement for the player.  The Bianconeri’s leadership is absolutely determined to retain the player at the end of the season and they have repeated it several times. If Juventus will not retain him, he returns
to Liverpool even if the player wants to play in Italy, but I don’t think in Italy there are another clubs other than Juventus which can take him.”

Aquilani is not the only transfer target for Juventus, Juve are also reportedly interested in the Inter owned full back, Davide Santon, and the AC Milan play maker, Andrea Pirlo. The addition of Santon would be a great development in the defensive lines
and also to the offensive progression as the youngster is skilled to play on both flanks, adding to the attack and defence of the team. Andrea Pirlo on the other hand is well known all across Europe for his deep-lying playmaking skills, his pinpoint long range
passes and ability from set pieces.

Aquilani is going to be the top priority of the Old Lady in the summer transfer market. However, should La Vecchia Signora fail to acquire the former Roma man’s services, Pirlo is likely be the ideal candidate to take over Aquilani’s role in Turin.
