Abdull Razzaq outplayed Black Caps with all round performance
Unpredictable Pakistan Side fought back in blasting manner and beat New Zealand by 103 runs in the last Twenty20 International at Christchurch. The main hero of the match was Abdul Razaq who got back his form and smashed Black Caps with his blade and later
on with the bowl as well. He made quick 34 runs just on 14 bowls and also took 3 wickets in 4 overs with 3.24 econ. He was given a man of the match award. Pakistan Skipper Shahid Afridi also joined the party and took 4 wickets by giving only 14 runs in 2.4
overs. Therefore, New Zealand batsmen felled like a playing cards. They could only mange to make 80 runs in reply to Pakistan’s massive total of 183 runs. Only Scot Styris gave fight to the Pakistan bowlers and he made 45 runs, Captain Shahid Afridi got him
out.
Skipper Shahid Afridi won the toss and chose to put his batters on the roll early on a bating friendly track. Both the openers Ahmed Shehzad and Muhmmad Hafeez took on the New Zealand’s bowlers early on. They gave 81 runs start by completing half century
just in 4.5 overs. Young Ahmed Shehzad played an aggressive knock of 54 runs just in 34 balls. He smashed 10 boundaries all over the ground. Mummad Hafeez supported him well with his speedy 34 runs on 23 balls with four boundaries and a big six. Both were
got rid off by James Franklin. A little moment rose in the match where New Zealand’s bowlers dominated the Pakistan batters when Asad Shafiq and Younis Khan got out on 8 and 5 respectively. Younis Khan again remained unlucky with the bat got run out by McCullum.
New Zealand had a very less time of relief because Umar Akmal lifted Pakistan inns again. He played intelligently and made fast 30 runs on 19 bowls. He smashed three boundaries and three sixes. In the end Abdul Razzaq led the score to 183 three with his explosive
inns. He scored 34 runs in no time. He hit 3 sixes and 3 boundaries in just 14 balls. On the other hand, Black Caps bowlers looked vulnerable against the Pakistan Batters. Only James Franklin caused a bit damage to Pakistan Batting. He got rid off both the
openers.
After wining first two Twenty20 matches with a big margin, New Zealand side strangled in a weird manner. There four top order batsmen departed with out making any run. JD Ryder was the first man to make tracks and remaining three batters followed him too.
Only Scot Styris showed some resistance against the Pakistan’s bowling attack. He made 45 runs and provided a reason of little cheer to fans. Abdul Razzaq and Shahid Afridi were behind the sophisticated killings of Balck Caps Batters. Abdull Razzaq started
with the wicket of in-form Martin Guptil and then Afridi took little time to get rid off tale enders.
Although, New Zealand had already won the series by wining first two matches but this victory will definitely give extra confidence to Pakistan side who struggled in the start of the tour. In the remaining tour Pakistan will have to keep the same momentum
as Test Series is going to start from 7 January. Therefore, New Zealand has not been in a great form since the start of the series. They had come back with 14 consecutive defeats. Now this Twenty20 series win give them definite boost. The fans of both the
countries will have good moments of cricket to see.
