Simon Grayson happy with Leeds United squad

Leeds United manager Simon Grayson has said he’s not looking to sign any players in January and is happy with the club’s squad.

Leeds is playing very well in the Championship and is well positioned for an assault on the top of the league during the second half of the season. The club sits in 8th place just outside the play-offs
and automatic promotion to the Premier League is still a possibility.

If there’s an opportunity in January to get a couple of players in to keep us going then we’ll try and do that, but we’ve
got a very good and settled squad at the moment,” said Grayson in the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Grayson also says the fact the club has players coming back from injury means the team will enjoy the effect of getting virtually new players. Midfielder Ross McCormack and striker
Billy Paynter have just returned to first team training.

This means the club effectively has two brand new players to choose from because the pair have been forced to miss a large part of the season already.

“You always want to improve your options but there are players here who’ve hardly played any football for this club, lads like Ross McCormack and Billy Paynter. Saturday was the
first time they’ve played together,” added Grayson.

The Leeds boss has also said he is very happy with the way the team is playing and doesn’t see any need to drastically alter any one area of the team. This means Leeds can stay balanced
over the rest of the season while other sides try and blend new players into squads and game plans.

“Them being fully fit is like having two new signings. I’m happy with how we are and with the way we’re playing,” he said.

Betting advice

Leeds United is a very good bet to gain promotion to the Premier League. Grayson is a very shrewd and clever operator who seems very happy with the club’s situation. Back Leeds to
win the play-offs and to win any game the side plays at Elland Road over the rest of the season.
