Real’s Jose Mourinho critical of Inter’s Rafael Benitez for destroying legacy, hint return to EPL or Serie A (Part 2)
Overtime Mourinho has shown the softer side of his character when he constantly checks up the status of his players and even jokes around after training sessions. Though he shows passion for the teams he has managed in the past he never loses a chance to
boast about the present and state that he has improved over time.
Mourinho always presents his situation with examples of life quite smartly even if he has just faced an embarrassing loss. For instance his famous quote in which described to make a good omelette one needs good eggs. This described that his men on field
were certainly not in top notch form and therefore could not present fans with a worthy of status result.
Similarly in a recent press conference he described that despite the loss this season which includes the humiliation of El Clasico at Nou Camp by Barcelona managed by Pep Guardiola, the manager extolled himself saying he would rate his performance this year
11 on a scale to 10.
Similarly he was snide as usual when he added on the issue, “I want Inter to win everything apart from the Champions League, where there is Real Madrid.”
He was also critical when he discredited Benitez from winning the Club World Cup, on the issue he said, “Rafa’s words (after the Club World Cup)? They deserve no comment. I expected at least a thank you from the success that I gave him.” He smugly added, “Ask
all the Inter fans what they think of me and him.”
Truth be told the Club World Cup title under the belt of Rafael Benitez is a bit unfair. The reason for that is Mourinho toiled for a year to gain the Champions League title and then built up a team that could have achieved it. In six months after the manager
it was expected Nerazzurri would gain the trophy.
Earlier in the summers it was expected Mourinho was going to revoke his decision in moving to Santiago Bernabeu where he dreamt of managing Real Madrid. Inter Milan fought tooth and nail to keep Mourinho working for them but Mourinho is well known to be unmoving
of his demands.
In the end it seemed inevitable as Los Blancos were willing to pay money for Mourinho, which as a matter of fact they ended up doing. So instead of a simple transfer it was money that busted Mourinho free from his contract.
Mourinho remembering the issue commented, “Going back to Inter? I can never say that I will not go back there, but I also cannot say that I will not go to another team.”
The 47-year-old manager continued, “But Inter will always be in front. I hope they don’t need me. If they do then it means they have gone down the wrong path.”
Once the Chelsea manager concluded complacently with, “In my future it will be the Premier League or Italy. Problems at Real Madrid? I never have problems.”
