Monty Panesar interviewed by police after altercation with his wife- cricket news

England’s left-arm spinner Monty Panesar was called in by police after the bowler had an altercation with his wife, Gursharan Rattan. Panesar was later released as no charges were filed against him.

According to local police, they received a call from an undisclosed person who accused the crickter of being involved in a heated debate with his wife. The person also claimed to see Panesar grabbing his wife by hand near Luton
pub car park.

The 29-year-old cricketers turned down such claims and refused to file any complaint against him.

According to a well informed source, “Officers questioned him but he kept giving the same ‘no comment’ reply to everything. No charges were possible – and his wife didn’t want to press them.”

Media spokes person for Monty Panesar confirmed the news that the left-arm spinner was taken to police station for inquiry. He also clarified that there was some dispute between the two but it was not as put in the picture by the
caller.

The spokes person said that it was simple husband and wife disagreement which came to a conclusion at that very spot. He made public that the couple are happy together and the issue is dusted.

The media person for Panesar reiterated, “A flash in the pan, a spirited, angry row that man and wife have. That is all. The allegation was made by a passer-by who saw Monty and his wife in a pub car park. The police spoke to him
at a house nearby. Monty denied the allegation and his wife did not make a complaint.”

Panesar and Gursharan marriage is like a fairy tale. They were boy friend and girl friend for long before setting their knots in a typical Indian ritual back in February, 2010.

Gursharan, Graduate Pharmacist, continues to practice even after marriage. The 29-year-old spinner has great respect for his wife and says that she has brought constancy in his life.

The left-arm orthodox spinner was a regular member of England’s international side until 2009. He however could not keep up to high expectations that were attached with him. His performance declined in both ODI and Tests.

Graeme Swann, off-spin bowler, was making full use of the slum of Panesar. Swann slowly and gradually overcame the left-armer as England’s ace spinner.

Panesar in English County championship plays for Sussex. In 2010, the left-arm orthodox spinner signed a three year deal with Lions.

The bowler is determined to fight for his place and get back to his glory days. His current form for Sussex will surely be of great assistance.

He has been amongst the wickets for Sussex and has dismissed seven batsmen at an average of 14.14. Rana Naveed-ul-Hassan is leading the pack with nine victims at 8.11 runs per wicket.

Panesar along with Rana has seen his side reach second position in South Group.
