Brendon McCullam rested for the dead rubber match against Pakistan.

Pakistan lost to New Zealand in the current Twenty20 series played in New Zealand. The visitors started their tour with a lost against local team of Auckland. Pakistan was all booked on 98 against domestic team and they repeated same mistakes against New
Zealand. In both the international Twenty20, bowling and batting lead Pakistan down. New Zealand was playing without their premier all rounder, captain Daniel Vettori and ace wicket keeper batsman Brendon McCullum. Both the players were rested after they got
injured in their long losing tours in Asia.

McCullam is a devastating opening batsman and has proved his talent in all the formats of the game. He is particularly severe in Twenty20 matches and holds a key position in Kiwis team. McCullam completed his fitness test and passed it however, he is rested
for the dead rubber Twenty20 match. Glenn Turner made a statement “Brendon got through the fitness test well and we’re pleased with the progress he’s made.” Glenn Turner is the selector for New Zealand team and decided to rest McCullum for the Twenty20 match
being played tomorrow at Christchurch. New Zealand is due to play two test matches and six one day internationals against Pakistan. Turner continued saying “This is in view of the heavy workload Brendon will shoulder in the upcoming test and ODI series: we
believe the extra rest will be of benefit in the longer term.” Once done with the series and world cup approaching it in around six weeks, it is sensible decision to give Brendon McCullum some extra time to recover 100percent.

Pakistan will be playing the last match for their repute and will try hard for consolidation victory. New Zealand on the other hand will be hoping to inject some youth and try to clean sweep Pakistan with a 3-0 win. In the first Twenty20 of the series, New
Zealand played with two debutants. The debutant duo failed to contribute and the third match is perfect occasion for them to play and perform to cement their spot in the squad for the world cup. Teenager right arm quickie Adam Milne was one of the debutant,
he bowled quick however in that process he sprayed the bowl everywhere and was very expensive. Dean Brownlie was the other one to play his first international, batting at one down position he failed to perform.
