The event was made possible at Prime Gym Coatbridge when they came together with Better Bodies Sports Nutrition and MWI_men on Saturday, September 14 to showcase how a gym environment can support positive mental health during suicide prevention month.
This group, known as the “Men’s Mental Health Network,” aims to break down the stigma surrounding mental health issues and provide a safe space for men to share their experiences and connect with each other. The network is a collaborative effort between the NHS Lanarkshire and the Scottish Men’s Mental Health Charity. The network is open to all men, regardless of their age, background, or ethnicity.
Owner of Prime Gym Coatbridge Ltd, Allan Donald said: “I am so proud of our team for putting this together for the men in our community. “It’s so important that we look after our mental health along with our physical health and support one another where we can. “Being a community gym, it’s vital that we are connected with our members and the wider community to ensure everyone has the support they need in which ever form that may take. “Thanks to RB Marketing for all of their support and for working with us on these important subjects.” *Don’t miss the latest headlines from around Lanarkshire.
