Valencia CF interested in Hamburg SV’s Ruud Van Nistelrooy

Reports suggest that La Liga outfit, Valencia CF, are considering a move for the experienced Hamburg SV striker, Ruud Van Nistelrooy. Los Che have remained far from impressive up front this season, scoring only 42 goals in 29 matches. They are eager to add more depth in their attack pack at the end of the season and team management sees the 34-year-old prolific striker as the perfect addition to their squad.

The 34-year-old Dutch international had a successful spell with Eredivisie powerhouse, PSV Eindhoven, before joining the English Premier League outfit, Manchester United, in 2001/02 season. He scored 46 goals in 169 appearances for PSV in his six seasons spell with the Boeren. The prolific strike also had an exceptional record at Old Trafford, as he scored 95 goals in 150 appearances for the Red Devils.

Van the man joined HSV from Real Madrid in January 2010. However, the prolific striker has never managed to make an impact in Bundesliga, scoring 11 goals from 33 matches. The Dutch international appeared to be on his way back to his former club in the winter transfer marker, but the team management refused to let go their prized asset.

The former Manchester United striker contract with HSV is set to expire at the end of the season. The 34-year-old striker has revealed that he will not pen down a contract extension with his current club, as he is not happy with his situation at HSV. Hence, the Dutchman is available on a free transfer this summer and Los Che emerge to be ready to snatch him up in the summer.

Reports suggest that Los Che have already started negotiations with Van Nistelrooy’s agent, Rodger Linse. However, a possible move to Valencianistas is still far away, as both sides have yet to make an agreement. Los Che have to reach an agreement as early as possible, as PSV are also interested in taking the prolific striker signature at the end of the season.
