Transfer news: Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho plans to fetch Cesc Fabregas from under the nose of rivals Barcelona

Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho, planned to initiate an impudent bid to fetch Arsenal skipper, Cesc Fabregas, from under the nose of bitter rivals, Barcelona. According to The Sun, Jose Mourinho had decided to convince Cesc after meeting him personally, to join Real Madrid.  Barcelona is also striving to get the Arsenal skipper as a part of their long - running interest in him. FC Barcelona are keeping their symbolic shirt no. 4 for the Spanish midfielder, according to the reports by Barca’s El Mundo Deportivo. Madrid based newspaper Marca printed on their front cover that Real Madrid would enter the bidding as Jose Mourinho is plotting a 35 million euro plan to get over their rivals.

Barcelona still has faith in Cesc Fabrigas, as midfielder’s boyhood club would be his choice the moment he decides to leave England. The 23 - year - old recently joined the Gunners after an injury and proved helpful in their crushing 3 - 1 victory over FC Chelsea. Although two of Arsene Wenger’s men lost the opportunity to join two Manchester neighbor clubs but both Spanish giants are pretty hopeful this time. Real Madrid could also think of releasing Lassana Diarra, Mahamadou Diarra and Fernando Gago from Bernabeu in paving the way to make some space for Fabrigas, who could be the best possible partner of ex - Liverpool striker, Xabi Alonso. Fabregas has previously ruled out the possibility of playing with Bernabeu giants, that’s why the ex - Chelsea has informed the club management to lure Spanish International.

The Spanish giants are planting stories in the media to clear the way for an imminent move but Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has refused the intension to release the captain who is under contract till 2015. Arsenal management reacted swiftly after the Spanish clubs tried to negotiate through Spanish press this year, angrily refused the formal 29 million euro bid that emerged by fax. Fabregas has always stated that he is happy with Gunners but that could end certainly when there is a question mark on his future. Real rival FC Barcelona is in a strong financial position after 140 million GBP tie up with Qatar Foundation for the next five years.
