Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain wanted by Juventus

News from Santiago Bernabeu has brought smiles to the faces of Madridista fans. It has been confirmed Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is out and running once again.

Reports from club officials have informed the Argentine international, Higuain is back into practice after the player go injured earlier in the season. The 23-year-old striker had to undergo surgery for his back around turn of the year.

Real Madrid manager, Jose Mourinho had signed in Togolese international, Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City to replace his injured gun. With Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Adebayor showing top notch form in front of the sticks Mourinho will be split minded of who to bench when Higuain is finally ready to play again.

Possibility of a transfer is now being speculated by many experts. Italian footballing powerhouse, Juventus has already shown interest to sign in the Argentine international. Sources have revealed officials from Juventus have been eyeing the young prodigy for some time now. Analysts have declared Juventus would be even willing to sign Higuain on loan for the next season even if a permanent contract is not offered.

Bianconeri have been short of strikers since the beginning of this season. Though they have signed in a couple of talented players in the summer transfer window, injuries and lack of form has caused most of the attacking players to be sidelined.

Juventus had been after Adebayor since the summer transfer window. After the new signings at Manchester City, the Togo international, Adebayor grew out of favour in the eyes of his manager Roberto Mancini. The Lady Killers approached Eastlands to sign in Adebayor first in the summers but both clubs could not agree on mutual grounds.

However negotiations had not gone stale hence the January transfer window brought another round talks at the table. Once again both clubs were unable to conclude a deal a deal. Real Madrid who were looking for Higuain’s replacement swooped in and signed Adebayor for the next six months.

Reports have suggested Adebayor has performed better than Mourinho had anticipated and the former Inter Milan manager is now confused if he wants to keep him at Santiago Bernabeu.

Higuain has been one of the favourites of Real for a very long time but if the striker fails to reaches his top form then Mourinho will not be hesitant to trade him away. He will be included in the possible departure list of Ezequiel Garay and Pedro Leon, both of whom are wanted by Sporting Lisbon.

Higuain is bound to cause a lot of interest in market. Spanish and English outfits including Manchester City have been trying to attain his services for some time now. Earlier Manchester United showed interest in bringing the young gun to Old Trafford. Chelsea also made an unofficial bid for the striker but no concrete development took place.

All eyes are now on the return of the Argentine with his performance to decide if he will extend his stay at Santiago Bernabeu.
