NBA’s recent best performances, 2nd March (Part 1)

The game of basketball is a game that not only needs strength but also determination, and the players have to stay active on the court, because if they don’t, they miss the chances of rounding points. Here is a review of some of the best performances that took place in the 10 games played on 2nd March.

Horford’s 31-point demon game

Al Horford kept the game flaring under his effect. The player gave an unmatchable performance as the player broke loose over the Chicago Bulls in a bull fight game, scoring 31 points and 16 rebounds in Atlanta Hawks win, seven of them were offensive. The 6’10” player also made two steals right under the noses of the Bulls and was called a “beast” by coach Larry Drew.

The 24-year-old had a monster game in the third quarter, shooting 6-for-8 from the field. The titan also notched his first three-pointer of the season and second of his 4-year-old career. The player felt responsible to feel the gap left by Josh Smith and said, "With Josh out, I felt like I had to step up my game a notch."

Spurs scoring 50th win of the season

The Spurs clinched their 12th consecutive 50-win season. They tied the record set by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1979-91 period. They pulled out a 109-99 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers at Cleveland with superb performances from all the players. They had the opposition awed at the game and Cleveland’s coach was quoted as saying, "That team is just too good."

Curry’s main role in Warriors’ offence

Eddy Curry has averaged 27.3 points and a 54.5 per cent shooting in Golden State’s 7-game road trip and an outstanding 12-for-22 long range shooting. The guard went scoring 29 points and pulled out a 3-for-7 three-pointer shooting, a 9-for-18 overall and scooped 8-of-9 free throws along with nine rebounds and five dimes. “…just being aggressive. That's my role on the team." said the 7-footer after the game.

K.G’s fastidious 12

Kevin Garnett delivered his best offensive performance in Boston Celtics win over the Phoenix Suns. K.G went 5-for-5 pinning 12 points in a span of six plus minutes. This helped the Celtics build a double digit lead over the opposition. The player had a 12-for-14 shooting overall and scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the win.
