Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish happy over Suarez and Carroll performance

The Liverpool manager, Kenny Dalglish has expressed confidence in Liverpool’s new striking pair upfront, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll. The Scotsman stated that both men could not be forced to perform at their best so early after their signings however the duo shows promising signs of delivering big.

Liverpool legend Dalglish went on to inform that the Uruguayan and Englishman were building up great understanding and by the looks of it they will pair for a fantastic partnership. Dalglish stated that he had found proof both strikers will help Anfield rejuvenate after he saw them string a partnership upfront against the weekend match against Sunderland.

Both strikers were acquired in the winter transfer window this January amidst confusion and uncertainty. Earlier, Uruguayan international, Luis Suarez had denied reports suggesting a transfer to Liverpool after negotiations turned stale. Nonetheless he had initially desired for a move to the Merseyside therefore his will proved enough to turn the matter around. Later it was revealed Dalglish gained his trust hence a contract around 23 million Pounds had been inked.

On the other hand Englishman Andy Carroll had set a whole new level of notoriousness in comparison to the former Ajax player. Carroll is just making his comeback in the League after being sidelined because of a thigh injury. He has been out of action since December hence finding his way back in form has not been easy. Dalglish was all praise regarding the two youngsters in his post match interview. The legendary Scotsman was found saying, “The two lads we brought in during January played together for the first time today and showed a lot of very encouraging signs. Andy made a fantastic physical effort to play 90 minutes on Thursday and another 70 today. Luis chipped in with a fantastic goal and the two of them showed encouraging signs of what we can look forward to.”

Dalglish also analysed the performance of the two forwards in front of the sticks saying, “I don’t think there is a set time for partnerships to form. It either happens or it doesn’t. It was encouraging. Suarez looks a good player and scored a fantastic goal for us. We have a lot of good viewing ahead of us.”
