Live leaderboard updates:Round 2 of Sicilian Open

The Sicilian Open is underway at the par- 71 Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa from March 17th to March 20th. The tournament has progressed into the second round. Here is a quick look at the leader board.

Anthony Walls is currently in the lead with a score of nine-under par. He reeled two birdies in the front and one eagle in the back to compile a score of 68.

He is being chased by Raphael Jacquelin and Richard Green who have carded 69 and 67 respectively in the second round.

Five strokes shy of the leader is the former Ryder Cup captain, Colin Montgomerie. The Scot teed off from the back and approached the greens with  a wayward approach. He picked two birdies overall, but managed to keep his scorecard free from the blemishes.

His compatriot, Paul Lawrie produced a decent scorecard and improved folds as compare to the first round. The player followed the game plan that of Montgomerie and played safe. He reeled three birdies without dropping a shot.

Shiv Kapur and Jeev Milkha Singh also teed from the back, as the greens were comparatively harder there, which helped in stopping the ball near the cup. The Indians parred the course and finished 45th on the leader board. Singh reeled three birdies against two bogeys on the back, while; Kapur bogeyed two holes, one on each side against one birdie.

Meanwhile, Pablo Larrazabal crossed the realms of par after triple bogeying the par-4 18th. The Spaniard is three-over par and is projected to miss the cut.

On the other hand, the winner of Avantha Masters, Shiv Shankar Prasad Chowrasia managed to bring the score back in par after carding a 71 in the second round. He picked three birdies, but countered off them with equal number of bogeys. After 36 holes, Chowrasia is four-over par.

Stephen Dodd who led the field in the first round after compiling the lowest day, 65 has teed off from the back. He failed to putt for a par at the 11th hole and signed for a bogey. However, he soon had his scorecard free from the blemish, when he birdied the 13th hole.
