Katie Warburg earns Girl’s 1 meter diving title in Connecticut: 2011 High School State Championships
Katie Warburg of SR Wilton stood up the arena against her challengers in the diving competition during the 2011 Connecticut High School State Championships in the last week. The meet was held in, New Haven, Connecticut from November 18-19.
SR Wilton’s beat her opponents by claiming the highest mark of 454.90 points to earn the Girl’s 1 meter diving title. After the meet, Emily Stotesberry of SO Greenwich grabbed second place honour by earning an impressive score of 416.05 points in the respective dive, whereas the third place went to Lizzie Fitzpatrick of FR Darien in a spot of 407.95 points.
In addition, Caroline Ashcraft of JR Darien got fourth position in the respective meet by claiming a blot of 402.05 marks. Lindsey Nolan gave her best attempt throughout the diving competition and snatched fifth position by grabbing a respected score of
400.10 points. Moreover, Caroline Gonsalves of SO East Lyme and Ariana Ross of JR New Canaan rose to the expectations of their followers and earned sixth and seventh places in the respective dive by earning a mark of 395.30 points and 383.60 points, respectively.
In the meantime, the eighth position went to JR Windsor’s Kalli Roebelen in a blot of 383.05 points and Jessica Horn of SR Pomperaug was settled at ninth place in a score of 379.15 points. Additionally, Kylie Towbin of FR New Canaan and Kady Holland of
SR Wilton earned tenth and eleventh positions in the respective meet by claiming a score of 364.10 points and 357.55 points, in that order.
The competition for the top fifth spot was really tough, as Meredith Jonker of JR New Canaan earned a mark of 348.10 points for twelfth position, Margaret Preston of SR Conard claimed thirteenth place in a spot of 347.20 marks and Kylie More of SO Fairfield
Warde was settled at fourteenth place in a mark of 347.10 points, correspondingly. The fifteenth place went to JR Greenwich’s Megan Mahoney in a mark of 342.05 points. Finally, the topper Katie Warburg was awarded gold title in the respective diving competition
after the close of the session.
