Jose Mourinho said : ‘Benzema Adebayor duo could do well’

The 23-years-old French hit - man, Karim Benzema, has not been in a wonderful touch for the current spell of La Liga season so far and is in a woeful run according to football pundits. The France International is said to be paired with newly procured Emmanuel Adebayor in the upcoming clash with Osasuna. Real Madrid has been struggling in the last few clashes with Osasuna who has a reasonable record against the Santigo Bernabeu. Real Madrid boss, Jose Mourinho, has already warned the fans of losing some points against Osasuna as the defender Sergio Ramos also ponders the same. Ramos thinks Osasuna is struggling at the moment and a hurt team is always difficult t play with.

Emmanuel Adebayor is pretty excited for his looming start with Spanish giant and may be featured in tomorrow’s clash with CA Osasuna. The 26 years old Togo international is acquired from Manchester City on a loan deal but Real Madrid boss is more willing to retain the alluring striker with the club for at least this season. Reportedly, Manchester City might sell him to Real Madrid should they pay a reasonable price for the tempting striker. The Portuguese manager bought Adebayor to increase the striking firepower in the team after Gonzalo Higuain was having a slipped disc injury and is expected to relax for the rest of the season. Adebayor spoke to Spanish media following the reports that he was there to replace Benzema. He rejected the speculations by replying that he is not here to compete with Benzena or anyone else and that the Benzena is a great player. He always dreamt of Playing for Real Madrid. He said, “This is going to be a huge challenge and I know fans here expect a lot, so I am going to be myself on the pitch and try to help restore confidence to the club and the supporters. I want to win titles with Madrid at the end of the season, which is all that really matters to me. I spoke to Mourinho today during training and I am very happy to belong to Real Madrid.” Spanish Media also reported that Mourinho’s failed bid to re-sign Ruud van Nistelrooy triggered him to sign Adebayor in place for injured Higuain.

Mounrinho asserted that Xabi Alonso is included in the squad as he was not quite well three days ago and is fine now, and healthy enough to be the part of the line - up. He also expressed his views for the injured Argentinean International Gonzalo Higuain. He affirmed that Higuain is more than welcomed to the team with wide open arms. He said, “Higuain is welcomed but I am looking forward for Benzema and Adebayor as they both are different but complimentary. It is difficult for a forward to find his way into a team if he doesn’t play, but Adebayor knows what it is like to play for teams that are expected to win. His incorporation into the team has been very smooth. I am sure he will do well.”
