Jose Mourinho Hints At Return to England

The manager of Real Madrid Jose Mourinho has once again confirmed that he would return to England after his Madrid days are over. The manager did not make any complains about his current club and said that he could not deny the job because it was offered to him for the third time.

Jose Mourinho came to Chelsea after his Champions League winning year at FC Porto. The days at the Blues were memorable for the manager who won back to back league titles with the team. Apart from this, Mourinho also helped the team to a couple of FA Cup victories during his stay. However, he was unable to fulfil Roman Abramovich’s dream of a Champions League title. The Portuguese tactician was able to only guide the team to a couple of semi-finals, which was not good enough. Therefore, he was shown the door and he went on to his next destination Italy.

The stay at Italy was quite memorable for the manager who started with a Serie A title in his first season. The next season was extra-ordinary as the manager led the team to an incredible treble, including the league cup, Serie A and the Champions League. However, Mourinho mentioned in the interview that he only went to Italy when he was told that it was home of tactics. Therefore, he wanted to prove his worth as a master tactician, which he did with some amazing victories, including the tactical dominance over Barcelona in the Champions League Semi-Final.

At the end of his record-making season, Mourinho believed that he had given enough to the Nerazzurri. Therefore, he went on to his next challenge at Real Madrid which he labelled as the most difficult club in the world. This is Mourinho’s first season at his new club and he still has three more years on his contract. However, he is already talking about his love about England and wants to go back after his days at Madrid are over. The manager wants to create a legacy in England with some club and is hopeful of the prospects in the future.

There is no doubt that Madrid’s job is the most difficult one in the World. The standards are so high that it is quite difficult for any manager to have a prolonged stay at the club. Their former manager Vicente Del Bosque was fired after he had won a Champions League title with the club. Therefore, it is very difficult to keep the fans and the management happy and it puts a lot of pressure on the manager. However, it is not a problem for Mourinho to handle the concerned people, but he has not been good enough in delivering the results.

At this moment, Madrid looks comfortable in all competitions but they are just of shadow of their archrivals Barcelona. In the end, the Los Blancos might not be able to win anything and Barcelona might have a clean sweep in all these competitions. So, it will be very improbable that Mourinho will be staying in the job for the next season. In this scenario, it is very logical to talk about the future prospects and a return to England.

Every manager in the world wants to follow the example of Sir Alex Ferguson. He created a legacy at Manchester United and still continues to make an impact. Previously, all the big managers including Mourinho and Pep Guardiola have hinted at the job at Manchester United. Now, Mourinho is once again talking about creating a legacy, which will be similar to Ferguson’s Manchester United. However, the Scotsman is still looking good in his job and Mourinho might have to look towards other options. There are some other options and Liverpool might be a more probable destination for the manager.
