Harry Redknapp looking to try his luck with Real Madrid

Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Harry Redknapp is looking to go back to his best, as he is reported to be contemplating an outrageous move for another Real Madrid player. The manager is apparently looking to make a move for either one of the forwards at the Bernabeu, with Karim Benzema being his current favourite target.

Jose Mourinho has in the past gone on to express his concerns over the French forward and he even felt that the player would not be able to play as the only lone striker at the team and opted to bring in Emmanuel Adebayor on a loan till the end of the season. As a result Benzema has been demoted back to the bench at the Spanish club and has started to grow in frustration as the days go by.

Redknapp on the other hand, is one man who seems to think Benzema is one of the best forwards in the world and is even willing to go ahead and bring the player to North London in hopes to reshape his attacking line-up at the club. This is because at the moment, the strikers at Tottenham seem to be going through a rather poor patch having scored only seven goals in the Premier League amongst the lot of them. These strikers include the likes of: Peter Crouch, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane – Keane having already parted ways with the team in the January transfer window.

Redknapp was more than eager to bring in a forward in the January window, as he went on to make whopping bids for Diego Forlan, Sergio Aguerro, Giuseppe Rossi and even Andy Carroll. However all the managers attempts fell short and he managed to land no player in January.

However it seems like he is not willing to face the same fate in the summers, as he is going to be going all out and spending around the region of thirty million pounds on Benzema in hopes that the amount of money that he is offering, will make it all the more easier for Madrid to part ways with the player.

With Mourinho currently looking all the more likely to ask Adebayor to stay at the Spanish club on a permanent basis at the end of the season, the chances of seeing Benzema make his move from the team seem all the more likely.

Nonetheless, if Tottenham are to try and land the player, they are almost certain to face stiff competition for the player's signature from a number of clubs, but, if they stick to the price that they re rumoured to be willing to offer for the player, they might just bag the French forward in the summers.
