Gervinho to NU, Jose Enrique leaving Toon,
Eden Hazard offered big
Newcastle United to land Gervinho
It is being reported that Newcastle United are fancying their chances at landing Ivory Coast forward Gervinho. The Lille forward has been highly impressive during his tenure with the French
squad and has on a number of occasions been linked with a move to one big team or another. However it now seems like Newcastle are actually going to go through with the deal and secure the players services.
Gervinho is reported to have said: "Newcastle are a good team. I have been linked to various teams now but I am still under contract at Lille until 2012, so I am not worrying. We are top
of the league and I want to win that. At the end of the season we can sit down and see what the next step will be. I want to concentrate on my football."
What that means is that the player has already decided to part ways with the club, but is only waiting for his contract to run out with the French side. Alan Pardew has been on the look-out
to replace Andy Carroll at the club, ever since he parted ways with the player in January and it seems like the manager is going in a completely different direction by making a move for a much smaller forward.
However with a year left till this deal actually goes through, it is safe to say a lot of speed bumps lie ahead.
Jose Enrique on his way out of Newcastle
Newcastle United full-back Jose Enrique has once again gone on to hint that he could be on his way out of the club at the end of the season. The player’s current contract with the club is
set to run out in 2012, but he has so far refused to sign a contract extension.
With the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United looking eagerly towards the player, the Toon might just be tempted to sell the player rather than let him leave for free.
Lille wants ‘Super Offer’ for Hazard
Lille has gone on to state that if anyone wants to sign Eden Hazard, then they are going to have to make a super offer for the player in order to do so.
At the moment the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Tottenham and even Atlético Madrid are reports to be interested in the player.
Hazard’s current contract is set to run out in 2015; however it seems like the team are willing to negotiate if the offer made for the player is just right.
Lille’s manager Rudi Garcia is reported to have said: “He might leave if we get a super offer in the summer. And he will not go to another French club but rather to one of the big foreign
leagues. England or Spain? The boy would go for any of the major clubs in these countries."
At the moment the names that are being linked with a move for the player, make it more than apparent that if anyone is going to land the player, it’s going to be after a massive bidding war
and that means that intentionally or unintentionally Lille might just get the massive bid they are looking for.
