Football Transfer Update: Everton’s Steven Pienaar on the brink of a transfer to Europe

The latest from the Blue part of Merseyside has revealed that one of Goodison Park’s favourite sons is about to depart from Everton planning to join another club.

Reports are confirming that the attacking midfielder of Toffees Steven Pienaar wants to leave the People’s Club and instead opt for a move out of England.

Earlier the player confirmed he wanted a move out desiring to win trophies and titles, a case in which staying with Everton would have led him to nothing but futility.

Reports have confirmed that Pienaar is seeking a way out and preferably to a European club but the question still remains, where is the confirmation rather speculation of him joining this other club.

Media reports are suggesting the South African international is in mutual consensus with another club which will see him leave him leave Blues before the January transfer window has closed.

This entire dilemma started this season when the 28-year-old winger showed reluctance in signing a new contract with Everton. At the moment his contract with Blues is set to end this summer hence officials from the club had been persuading him to renew his contract.

Pienaar came to Everton in 2008 from Borussia Dortmund after playing for Toffees on loan in 2007. He has scored 12 goals in the 132 fixtures he has appeared.

Since the beginning of this winter transfer window, Pienaar has been linked with away moves from top notch clubs. So far these clubs have been from the English Premier League however there is rising interest from Italy where Juventus would admire his talents.

In Premier League Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs have been approaching him for negotiations. However there has been a surprising reaction from Pienaar who turned down both offers and instead stating London was not a place he saw a future with.

With a reaction as such it is apparent the former Ajax player is tired of the lustrous Premier League and its intense competition.

Experts are asking to bet on the player making a move to Italy or Spain. This might be a good evaluation as there is rising interest for a player as such from Champions League holders Inter Milan and the Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Sources have revealed the next 24 hours to be crucial in signing of the deal hence all eyes are on the Blue part of Merseyside where the player might make a move worth 3 million Pounds. With Merseyside derby against Liverpool arriving, things are sure to get ugly.
