Dutch Striker Robin van Persie says Arsenal is the team for him!!

Arsenal’s Dutch striker Robin van Persie has said that his mission is to stay at Arsenal and help his team win trophies.

The Netherlands striker has been in excellent form in recent games, and since coming back from injury has been a real revelation. The front man has managed to win just one trophy with Arsenal, which was back in 2005 when Gunners won the FA cup.

Arsenal has a great chance of winning not just one but two or more trophies this season. The Gunners are alive in all four competitions. In the Premier League they are trailing Manchester United by just four points with 13 games to go. The gap can easily be closed considering that United have to play Arsenal away and also have home and away games against Chelsea to come.  Arsenal is set to play in the final of Carling Cup against Birmingham and is also alive in FA cup. Gunners have a replay game against Leyton Orient in FA cup and a win would book them a quarter final date with Manchester United. While in Champions League they won the first leg of final 16 game 2-1 at home against Barcelona.

While talking about his future plans, van Persie said that he wants to carry on playing for Arsenal. He added that Arsenal is the team for him and would love to help them win multiple trophies in future. The left footer added that he cannot imagine playing at any other club, and is totally committed to the Gunners.

He said: "I don't have the inclination to go anywhere. This is the best team for me to be in.

"The bottom line is that I want to win trophies with Arsenal, not with anybody else. I know you can win trophies in many countries and in many ways, but I want to do that in our way and in an Arsenal shirt”.

Van Persie said that he can easily go to any other league and play in any other team, but even if he manages to do that. It would not be the same, and no matter what he wins it would not be a trophy he would consider his own or something that came from the heart.

The Dutch international said that his dream is only to play at Arsenal and win big things, he added that people who know him have no doubts that he does not plan to leave.

"It's my dream and I see no point in speaking about other teams when I have these dreams. I think other people know that about me; I'm just hungry to win with Arsenal and that's it." Said Van Persie. The Arsenal forward has been in blistering form since coming back from an injury.  He has scored 12 goals so far in his last 10 games. Van Persie was also the man who got Arsenal’s level in the all important 2-1 win against Barcelona.

Van Persie said that he is delighted with form, but he needs support from his teammates to win trophies. On a personal note he added that return to form has been timely for him, as during his injury layoff many had started to write him off. And it was the best sort of reply he could have given to all his critics.
