Cesc Fabregas set to return from injury ahead of Barcelona’s clash against Sevilla – La Liga News

Spanish Champions, Barcelona, expect their midfielder Cesc Fabregas to return from injury before their La Liga match against Sevilla. The Spanish international is hoped to return prior to the match that will take place on Saturday.

Fabregas was sidelined earlier this month when he picked up a hamstring injury during practice. He has been out of action since Barcelona’s Primera Liga encounter with Sporting Gijon on 2nd October.

Reports have suggested that the Spaniard has been very eager to return to action. Fabregas has been focusing his energy on a speedy recovery and has been working very hard to return to action.

The former Arsenal captain signed this summer for the Champions League title holders. The price tag on the Spaniard is reported to be around £29 million; a further of £4 million was added as variables.

Although being a graduate of the Barcelona youth academy, Cesc Fabregas was signed by the English Premier League side Arsenal. The player was aged 16 at the time of the signing. However, he soon cemented his position at the North London club after being given a chance to perform.

He was considered as one of the best players in the Arsenal squad, and many would have wanted him to stay. Sad enough for the Gooners, the captain’s armband was simply not enough to keep him at the Emirates Stadium.

Fabregas’ move to Barcelona was considered to be a dream-come-true for the player who had always looked forward to returning to his home club in Spain.

So far, he has been phenomenal for La Blaugrana. While Andres Iniesta was sidelined due to his injury, Cesc Fabregas had the chance to maintain a regular chance to feature in the Barcelona first team.

Now with his hamstring healing perfectly, he is expected to return to practice soon. The news of the Spanish international’s recovery has come as a relief to Josep Guardiola. With Fabregas returning to the first team, Guardiola will be able to rest midfielders who have been playing a lot of football recently. Fabregas is expected to feature in the league clash against Sevilla.
