Carvalho Amauri shows his heart by playing for the city of Parma

The Brazilian born Italian international Amauri has shown spectacular form recently because of which spot lights are being shifted towards him when he speaks.

Due to his immense form Amauri also picked up a call up from Azzurri last year. The Juventus striker has just recently been sent on loan to Parma. The last day of January’s transfer window happened to be his escape hole from the Turin based club even though Amauri had featured in 40 matches for Juventus last season.

Nonetheless his performance with Bianconeri was diminished with just 7 goals last season. However the 30-year-old veteran has picked form once again. He has been vital for Parma’s campaign this season, keeping them from sinking into the relegation zone in Serie A. His form in Italy and Europe has been magnificent which has given birth to rumours of Parma signing him on a permanent basis.

On the European front he has scored 3 goals in 6 Europa League matches. The former Chievo player striker is morphing back into his old self and with his recent performance against La Magica.

On the weekend he helped Parma in a crucial match against Roma. He thrashed I Lupi by scoring a brace which helped them avoid a drop to the red zone. In the weekend fixture Parma were two goals down at Olimpico but that was before Amauri stepped in. His trailblazing dribbling stunned the Romans but it was his flamboyant volleyed back heel goal that took their breath away.

Though his second goal was less lustrous nonetheless it ensured I Gialloblù came out of stadium with a point. With this result Parma has created a rift of 3 points with the drop zone. Lecce is on top of them with the same number of points 28, only a better goal difference keeping them apart.

While talking to media Amauri commented on the match and his form saying, “Pasquale Marino did well. During the interval he gave us a spark. I have a debt with everyone at Parma and I would like to repay it by scoring goals and giving ruthlessness to a very technical but also inexperienced team.”

On the threat of being relegated, Amauri was confident manager Pasquale Marino and his men will be strong enough to overcome the obstacle. He expressed, “We will survive. I had got to know Sebastian Giovinco and Andrea Candreva at Juve. I had spent time with Cristian Zaccardo and Marco Pisano at Palermo. Alessandro Lucarelli was with me at Piacenza.”

At the instant he also clarified why he had chosen to stay in Italy. He labelled lack of offers to be the major reason but then an offer from Parma changed it all. On the issue he explained, “I didn't have any attractive offers. And then Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi was very convincing. I understood that he wasn't bluffing and now I must thank him again. Ghirardi and Pietro Leonardi believed in me when it wasn't easy.”

Juventus are rebuilding their current squad presently. Under the management of Luigi Delneri they have made many changes. At the moment their attacking department is out of action mainly because of injuries.

They have been trying to sign in new blood after a terrible season hence is expected to bring new faces at Turin. This will probably help Amauri sign a permanent contract with Parma.
