Bronzetti dismisses reports of Daniele de Rossi joining Real Madrid – Serie A Update

Daniele de Rossi, currently playing for Italian Serie A outfit, AS Roma has lately been linked to the rumours regarding his move to Spanish outfit, Real Madrid CF. However, his agent, Ernesto Bronzetti has mooted all hoax created around the future Roma skipper. The midfielder’s agent said:

“There is absolutely no truth in the De Rossi to Real Madrid stories.”

It is highly anticipated that the Italian international will replace Francesco Totti in the near future. With future prospects of leading a team with the likes of Roma, it is unlikely for the 27-year-old to make a move to Spanish capital.

Furthermore, adding more to his comments regarding the move, the agent said that the Spanish outfit already have a great bunch of players who fulfil their requirements and adding a central midfielder to the squad with the likes of Xavi Alonso and Gago will not be a sensible move. Bronzetti was recently quoted saying:

“He is an excellent midfielder, but Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid already have valid players in that role such as Gago and Xavi Alonso.”

The player has been with the Yellow-Reds from the start of his career since 2001. In 244 appearances in Serie A, the player has found the back of the net 29 times regardless of being a holding midfielder. Given the time Rossi has spent at Stadio Olimpico, the Giallorossi’s finest central midfielder has more credentials under his belt than any other player in the team.

Rossi has also served the Azzurri squad on several fronts. The midfielder has played for the U-19, U-20, U-21 and the senior squad of the Italian national team. However, the player was not called in for the last two international fixtures owing much to his misconduct. The player’s behaviour in and off the field has been observed regardless of the set code of ethics formulated by the head coach Cesare Prandelli, hence the suspension. The player however, is expected to join the Italian international team in the near future provided he keeps the code of conduct.
