Ashley Nurse eagerly waiting for the tour of India

The West Indian all-rounder Ashley Nurse is ready for the biggest match of his life “according to him” when West Indies will face India on Saturday in a T20 match in Trinidad.

"From the moment I got the call I was switched on," Nurse said. "For me this is a very big game. I see this as the biggest match of my life.”

"This is a very big game for me. I see this as the biggest match of my life. I got a taste of what things are like when I played against Pakistan and I am eager to play against India,' he said.

The guy from Barbados has made a huge jump up the ranks. He was not playing from the Barbados team just one year back. However, he bowled superbly in the Caribbean T20 tournament which made an alley for him into the Caribbean team.

Ashley, 22, has played against Pakistan in recent T20I and is expectant to add his count in the opening match against India’s tour to West Indies including a T20 match.

The right-arm off-spinner did a superb improvement in his bowling and enforced the selectors to call him for the national team against India. He has not played the first class cricket and only played a 50 over match back in 2007 but he is really impressive in the T20 format and has taken couple of five wickets haul in just 11 clashes.

Ashley said that he has been told that they will have a full house on Saturday and as a player you always like to showcase your skills in front of a jammed packed stadium.  He added that he will stick to the basics of his bowling. He believes that he can also play a vital role in the batting and he is serious about it.

'I have been working very hard on my overall game and doing a lot of work on my fitness as well. I feel much fitter and stronger than I did when I played against Pakistan," he added.

India will play five One Day Internationals (ODI) and three Test matches following the Inaugural T20 match on Saturday in Trinidad.
