Anderson Hernanes wants Givanildo Souza in his side

Manchester United’s Brazilian midfielder Anderson Hernanes has stressed United’s manager Alex Ferguson to sign FC Porto's Brazilian forward Givanildo 'Hulk' Souza.

Anderson was a former employee at Porto. He, however, parted ways with the club in 2007 and joined Old Trafford. The Brazilian seems rather keen for his international teammate to play alongside him at Old Trafford.

Anderson is reported to have said, "He has the quality and would suit English football. I think he is good enough to do well at a big club. If it was my decision, I would sign him but Sir Alex Ferguson signs the players and his knowledge would mean he knows all about the player."

This is not the first time that Hulk is being linked with a move to the Premier League. Rather, over the course of 2010, the player has been linked with a number of moves to England. However, it might be the ideal time for the 25-year-old to jump ship and become a part of the English Premier League.

Hulk joined Porto in 2008 and since then has managed to make 106 appearances for the side. During those appearances the player managed to find the back of the net 46 times and helped create another 31 times. The player has now also started to become a part of the international Brazilian side and it seems like it won’t be long before he becomes a household name.

The Brazilian can play as an outright striker, or can double as a wing forward if required. Looking at the current attacking options that United have, it might not be a bad time to lure the prolific forward to Old Trafford. In fact at the moment, United don’t really have a striker performing consistently and firing on all cylinders.

Dimitar Berbatov, despite being the leading goal scorer in the league, manages to have large dry spells before scoring a ridiculous amount of goals in a single game.

On the other hand, Wayne Rooney is currently experiencing the worst form of his career and could really use a helping hand.

If United are to make an attempt to land the Brazilian forward, they have to fork out approximately 20 million pounds to do so. However, if Hulk does become available to the market, United are to face stiff competition from Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur FC to land the player.
