2011 NFL Draft Round One (Part 14)

This is the fourteenth part in a series of articles discussing the first round draft selections in the 2011 National Football League (NFL) Draft, held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York. Picks number 14 to 32 are discussed here.

Pick 14- St. Louis Rams draft University of North Carolina defensive end Robert Quinn. 

Pick 15- Miami Dolphins draft Mike Pouncey, center from the University of Florida.

Pick 16- Washington Redskins draft Ryan Kerrigan, defensive end from Purdue University, after trading their pick with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pick 17- New England Patriots draft Nate Solder, offensive tackle from the University of Colorado, after trading picks with the Oakland Raiders.

Pick 18- San Diego Chargers draft Corey Liuget, defensive tackle from the University of Illinois.

Pick 19- New York Giants draft Prince Amukamara, cornerback from the University of Nebraska.

Pick 20- Tampa Bay Buccaneers draft Adrian Clayborn, defensive end from the University of Iowa.

Pick 21- Cleveland Browns draft Phil Taylor, defensive tackle from Baylor University, after a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pick 22- Indianapolis Colts draft Anthony Castonzo, offensive tackle from Boston College.

Pick 23- Philadelphia Eagles draft Danny Watkins, guard from Baylor University.

Pick 24- New Orleans Saints draft Cameron Jordan, defensive end from the University of California, Berkeley.

Pick 25- Seattle Seahawks draft James Carpenter, guard from the University of Alabama.

Pick 26- Kansas City Chiefs draft Jon Baldwin, wide receiver from the University of Pittsburgh, with a trade with the Atlanta Falcons, which was traded to them by the Cleveland Browns.

Pick 27- Baltimore Ravens draft Jimmy Smith, cornerback from the University of Colorado. The Ravens originally held the 26th pick and planned to trade it to the Cleveland Browns but failed to submit their pick within the allotted time, allowing the Chiefs to jump ahead of them.

Pick 28- New Orleans Saints draft Mark Ingram, runningback from the University of Alabama, with the draft pick that they traded with the New England Patriots.

Pick 29- Chicago Bears draft Gabe Carimi, offensive tackle from the University of Wisconsin.

Pick 30- New York Jets draft Muhammad Wilkerson, defensive tackle from Temple University.

Pick 31- Pittsburgh Steelers draft Cameron Heyward, defensive end from Ohio State University.

Pick 32- Green Bay Packers draft Derek Sherrod, offensive lineman from Mississippi State University.
